Tessa studied at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts under the aegis of such teachers as John Lawrence and Euan Uglow.
2008 proved to be a busy and rewarding year for Tessa, culminating in her receiving the Royal Watercolour Society Friends in East Anglia President's Award. After a successful career as an illustrator working for Macmillan's, Hamish Hamilton, Hutchinson's and Brimax she has returned to the pure medium of watercolour. Her paintings express her love of the shape, form, texture and colour of the fruits, vegetables and flowers that make up the subject matter of her art. Tessa strives to create carefully observed, non-gimicky works that are full of light, depth and calm. She regularly exhibits both locally and in London and has also been invited to exhibit at the Royal Watercolour Society in 2009.
