Anne Smith

Anne has been a professional artist since 1998 specialising in bronze sculpture. Her portraiture work is figurative and captures the look and character of the subject. She has exhibited widely in the UK and has undertaken numerous commissions. Her work can be found in several public and private collections. She works from her studio in Suffolk, UK, usually modelling her sculptures in clay but occasionally in plaster, working from photographs and drawings of the subject. If it is possible, Anne likes to have one or more life sittings with the subject as this injects more spontaneity into the final sculpture. The bronze sculpture is then made by the lost wax casting process.
